How the toplist is built
- By default, the toplist is sorted by votes: only votes from the current month count. On the 1st of every month at midnight, all servers start again from zero.
- In case of a tie, the server that has been listed longer ranks higher.
- The "Overall" ranking combines three values: 45% monthly votes, 35% reviews, and 20% average player count over the last 7 days. Servers with only a few reviews are pulled toward 3 stars, so a single 5-star review doesn't shoot them straight to the top.
- At the end of each month, we permanently save the final standings in the previous months' leaderboards.
Vote
- Everyone can vote once every 24 hours per server – even without an account. For this, we only store an irreversible hash of the connection, not an IP address.
- An invisible bot check from Cloudflare keeps automated votes out.
- Personal vote links from in-game (/vote) are valid for 30 minutes and can only be used once.
- In-game rewards are handed out by the server – they don't change how a vote is counted.
Protection against manipulation
- If a server receives more than 10 votes per minute, we automatically throttle them and flag the server for the team.
- A second review from the same network within 10 minutes is blocked and reported.
- You can only sign in with a Discord account that is at least 14 days old. Bans are tied to the Discord ID – creating a new account with us won't help banned users.
- A word filter holds back insults, spam, and links until the team has reviewed them.
- If the player count from the script differs significantly from the public server list, the team is notified automatically.
- In cases of manipulation, the team can hide servers and ban accounts. Owners are told the reason.
Where our numbers come from
- Player count: for FiveM and RedM, from the public Cfx.re server list (every 5 minutes) or – more accurately – directly via the GS2THETOP script on the server.
- Only owners who have proven ownership via the script or the server variables get "Verified".
- "Plays here" on a review means the server itself has confirmed that the person plays there.
- On every server page, the "Trust & Transparency" box shows which of these checks apply to that server.
